Hey guys hope everybody is enjoying their summer. I just wanted thank all the viewers who took there time to check out my post every weekend. Overall I hope by sharing my natural journey with you guys it can be beneficial to your journey as well. So I appreciate the love and im definietly looking forward to the future with you guys.

Being a Loc queen I notice I get more excited about the styling my locs more, because they are longer to achieve these styles of love. I  also notice as they get longer I get more compliments and questions on how I maintenance my locs. Most of the people inquiring on my loc maintenance with locs were people who were experiencing breakage to their locs and dry scalp/locs. Some of them experienced it so much to the point they were considering cutting them off, because they didn't know what do to stop the breakage. So if your reading this post and experiencing the same issues. Here are a few tips on how to get your locs moisturized and healthy for you to be happy with in. Nobody wants to cut their loc journey short over something that can be fixed by changing your hair maintenance regimen.
In the beginning of my loc journey unknowingly I used a lot of products with parabens and alcohols in them, it didn't cause breakage to my locs but I notice it stunt the growth in my hair. I also experienced a little thinning around my perimeter do to tight hair styles as well. One of the major problems that caused this breakage was using products that wasn't beneficial to my hair to promote active hair growth. I used a lot of well-known loc products that every beginner loc queen/king knows and often referred to use on your locs by most stylist. When I started my locs I had just finished beauty school and wasn't an expert at locs. Over the course of time I notice things that I wasn't happy with the lack of growth in my locs, the thinning and so I decided to do my research for a change in my hair regimen. My diet was great, but the products that I was using in my locs wasn't so great for my locs.

natural hair products, loc products
Dr Bronner Peppermint Pure Castile Soap

Dr.Bronner was and still is one of the best clarifying shampoos I use on my locs. Clarifying shampoos are great for deep cleaning of your locs by striping it of everything. Its the best product to buy out the store to strip your locs of product residue which is a plus. when using this product it doesn't take much of it to cover your locs for a full lather for a nice cleanse to your locs. Also the peppermint in this shampoo is really strong so it stimulates your scalp giving you that nice cooling feel and also it helps with hair growth. I love the Lavender Castile Soap as well, I use it after a ACV wash, because it gets the vinegar smell out of my locs. I also use black soap as a clarifying shampoo, but if you cant get to it Dr Bronner is just as great. When using a clarifying shampoo you always want to follow up with a moisturizing shampoo to put back the moisture you just removed.

dr. miracle Conditioning shampoo review

I love this shampoo because it smells amazing and it leaves my hair feeling so soft 😊.  This shampoo is free of parabens and sulfates, it also contains water as the first ingredient along with some essential oils such as jojoba oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil, and much more. I love to use this shampoo after a clarifying shampoo, because it brings moisture back to my locs also I let it sit in my hair for like 5 minutes to get the full affect of the shampoo.

dr miracle product review

This product is like a holy grail type of product for me when it comes to thinning with my locs which means I LOVE this product. This product as you can see in the photo above contains a lot of essential oils and the main one being Tea Tree oil. Tea tree oil is good for itchy and flaky scalp, also stimulating to the scalp for hair growth in those thinning areas. It has a minty herbal smell so it is pleasing to the nose and a little goes a long way. I apply this pomade after a good wash on damp hair for better results (that's just my opinion for my hair) I focus this product more around the perimeter of my hair line so I don't experience thinning in those areas while my locs grow.

essential oils for natural hair

Anybody who knows me know I love me some essential oils, they are like miracle workers in a bottle for my locs. These are just a few from my collection but if you dont have any you need to start adding these bad boys in your hair regimen. These oils can heal and bring your locs back to life with a consistency use of them. Each oil contributes different things to the hair to promote healthy hair growth and help prevent thinning at the root. My favorites are black castor oil which promote thicker hair growth, olive oil for moisture and  shine, peppermint oil for scalp stimulation, and amla oil which is amazing  as well for hair growth. I like to mix these up in different application bottles and always add coconut oil to the mix because I love the smell and also a great moisturizer as well.

wild growth oil review

Now Im only 3 months in with using this product and I am in love with these oils. Its a rave all over youtube so I got both bottles to see how this product would do on my hair. I'm not a big fan of the smell but I can deal with it being that the results are amazing. The oil in the white bottle has more of a thicker consistency than the yellow bottle so its really a light oil. I use the whit bottle every two-three days applying it at night and I use the yellow bottle whenever I feel my scalp is dry at the moment. If you don't have this in you hair product kit you need to get these oils asap they are great and you wont be disappointed.

Hope all these product suggestions are super helpful to you guys. I took my time choosing these products in particular, because they showed the best results when my hair was in a crisis. Also its good to keep using these products to prevent hair breakage in general.
